notice the past tense...

I'd say steer clear, but it depends on if you like a 'natural' reproduction of the music or that 'high' exaggerated reproduction.

I was wondering what amp can do you recommend to push this? Do i need a 2 or a 4 channel amp?

it depends.... i use either or.... i've used a 2-channel to rn front and back speakers... and i've used a 4-channel to run front and back speakers... if your just trying to only amp your comps... then a two-channel is good

Just won this amp too. Just wondering if this Amp is too much for it for my Boston components... Its the RF 250.
