This weekend I decided to change both rear brake shoes. However, I ran into a problem. Now mind you I had my car in park;but my rear wheel kept turning. Thus making it hard to break the lugs. Funny thing is the left side was locked in place, but the right side was not. I finally had to put the left tire back on to help lock the right side. Someone told me that there could be a tranny/gear problem. Somebody else said it could be a steering coulmn problem. Please help

Plus, you should always loosen up the lugs a little bit before you jack it up. You won't have a problem if you do this.

Am I the only one wondering why if this was his rear wheel, why he didnt just put the ebrake on? Unless the brakes were that worn...?
