i use the transtar tri-cut .It can be used as a cutting compound ,micro Finishing and a swirl remover .....and its half the price of 3m

So I got another question. I did all my wet sanding started with 800 wet to 1000 wet to 2000 and I'm geting streaks after I use the meguires cutting polish... how do I get rid of that do I have to use a more abrasive cutting compound???

I like going all the way to 2500 - 3000 polishes like glass... but are you getting swirls or what kind of streaks..?

never use 800 first off, and unless you got alot of debris in your paint i wouldnt use 1000 either start with 1200 then go up to 3000 if you can, higher you go the easier its gonna be to polish and better it will shine! :)

this guy i know was thinking its tiger stripes but it looks like its in the clear and not the base or pearl anyways i finish buffing the car today and it doesnt look that bad, well see how it looks in the sun tho

thanks for the advice makes sense i had some orange peel that would not go away with 1000 i didnt 800 the whole car just where it was bad

Good stuff thats all I have been using.

SHIT went and got some yesterday and it went up to $43.00 for the quart bottle! It was like $25.00 just a few weeks ago. I called a coouple other places and the price was the same. WTF! :banghead:

I BUY MY POLISH THROUGH EBAY... I GET IT IN GALLONS.. MY LAST GALLON WAS 78 BUCKS,.. BUT YEAH SHITS WENT UP :mad:
