There not welded they slide on the cylinder upside down,there just reverse cups(where the springs are),.........

thats i beleive a 2 stage telescopic,,,its skinnier on the top part of the cylinder

can you roll like that or can you only lock it up sittin still?

You can roll like that but need a telescopic driveline. But I would drive it like that on the freeway. We do it to gas hop.
