Hi all,
I'm trying to get the rear cylinder out of a car I just bought and I'm having trouble releasing the ball joint that is welded to the axle (the "powerball" ?) Most of the ones I've seen have some allen-screws on the top. Mine just has one on the side. I've removed this and the top piece is loose but I still can't get it to come off..... Any suggestions?

Thanks!

the top cap should rotate counter-clockwise and come off after a few turns.

So it should just screw off? I was having trouble getting it to turn much but it is covered with oil and I wasn't even sure it was *supposed* to turn so I wasn't trying too hard :) However now that I know that IS how it comes off I'll go home and give it a try.... Thanks!

adjustable channel locks with a rag in them (after you clean the oil off)

be sure to grease it back up good when you re assemble it.
