Drive shaft question...

Ok...

I'm going to put a slip yoke on my driveshaft on my 86 caprice.. I was going to go to the junkyard and grab another one.... are the driveshafts different with if the cars had different transmissions and rear ends or were they standard in length size ect..?????

every car has like 3 different sizes for every year,,its best to do your old one

I might end doing that over the winter.. I just didn't want to be able to not use my car but the winter is coming soon here in the northeast....so that's project time...

what factors determine the drive shaft used?

measurements ,,,,some are 56"some 57" and so on,,,,,,get a measuring tape.everything else should be the same
