I read somewhere that you can bolt up 85 El Dorado rear discs on a 64 impala axle.

if so, do you need a proportioning valve?

you need to buy the brackets, a dual master cylinder and get a proportioning valve. The cadillac calipers suck ass, I say fuck the e-brake and use Camaro front calipers on the back!

where do I get the brackets,or do they come off the camaro too?

no, a proportioning valve splits the amount of pressure from front to back. Its usually 70/30, or 60/40.
