Maybe its just me, but expensive subs dont impress me.  What DOES impress me is when someone takes a $100 sub and well designed box/install and whips the shit out of someone who's spent 3x more on equipment.  This is why I am a part of MECA, its more of a grass roots SPL movement where you see upsets like that all the time.  I mean, hey any dumbass can pay a stereo shop to install $100,000 worth of stuff and still only pull 147's
