I ordered a 200 amp alternator from excessive amperage. I was told that it bolts directly like the factory alt and the only difference is there is wire that needs to be connected to a 12v ignition source........ can anyone let me know what i should do?

i havent gotten the alternator yet i just ordered it today and thats what they told me on the phone.

You will want to connect it to a key-ON hot wire...
You will have one under the hood somewhere...
The ON position is where the key is before the last turn that actually cranks the vehicle...
Your current alternator MAY already have this wire going to it, test it to be sure its a key-ON power and your good to go...
