Yep $170 set of forks raw turns into $300 set of forks plated. All depending on the design, the crazier the design the more the cost goes up. Pirate Bike's parts were very cheap to be plated and high quality. The reason the price was low is its a simple design, only one pointed edge, one or 2 cut outs and that's it. Less time the plater has to spend prepping it the better off you are :thumbsup:
