To me it is worth it. Any little bit of extra protection is worth it. Better safe than sorry.. Plus I can't say it doesn't work b/c I've never had my quarters to crease, so it must work. However, I have seen quarters creased that didn't do it.

if u start out with a good solid frame and reinforce that u should have to worry about it if ur doing a bucket with shot body mounts then ur going to have problems...also it depend on how many batteries ur running i wouldnt worry about buckling if u have like 6 or 8 batts but like 10plus id think about it

He will be running 14 so he needs it. :biggrin: Plus there are fully wrapped frames out there that have buckled quarters and roofs. And one of them I know of is a World Champion hopper. No fiberglass on his car.
