ok the bumper on my lincoln the paint and primer has fallen off . under it u could see the shitty work they had done before . and in other places on the bumper da paint is falling off and looks like they tried and just painted over the bumper just like that. if i could imma post some pics by tommorow night hopefully. but for now if anyone has an idea of what im talkin about please help me out and tell me what i gotta do .

Well, you have to strip the bumper, with 120 grit. Than lay some primer on it, scuff it blow it off and laydown you r paint, than buy mix some flex addative in your clear and apply that on the base.

are you sure 120 cause one of my boys told me to use 220 or 320. and i strip it down until i see the plastic right ?

sorry to bother but u know i dont wanna mess it up i wanna do it right .

You 120 til you get to primer than you switch to 320, than before you prime scuff it with a red scotch brite.

120 takes the paint off faster than 220

Thats why you end it with 220 and 400 but ok.

Just sand with 320 :uh: try to tell you how to get the paint and primer off quicker

then you should have told him to start with 120 then "progress" up to 320


instead of telling him to start with 120 then go right to 320...........




maybe you worded it wrong i don't know?




but 120 is to agressive for a bumper cover........i would just use 220 220 on a da works pretty good for bumper covers..........
