I was just wondering, I have a 93 sonoma, and need to reinforce the frame. Should I just box the open side with 1/4" or should I wrap the whole frame in 1/4". I will not be hopping, just daily driving and some 3 wheeling. Just gonna have ten batteries and 4 pumps from the axle back.
Any info would be much appreciated.

I would plate the bottom crossmember, bottom a-arms and do a bridge.

Yes box it in and wrap as much as you can. 3/16 is thick enough and easier to work with.

One more question, what do I do around all the body mounts, and the rear shackle mounts. Do I just go around them, or cut them off and fab new ones?
Thanks, Dave.
Heres a pic of what I am talking about.
