i have 18 in strokes on my regal, after awhile of hittin the switches and three wheelin the bars came off and my trunk wont stay open, any one know how to change to gas shocks or know how to fix this problem

were they go on the sides they broke off so i got mad torch them out, i rather have the shocks in the rear

their is a bracket thats on the 80's caddies that looks about the same...... just drill the rivits to remove and then whem you install it on your cauuty..... just use bolts :cool:

i added some gas shocks for the trunk lid cause i had to remove the tortion springs for cyl and speaker clearances,i think it worked out pretty
well.used factory regal hood shocks along with the factory bracket off the hood

That is the way to go. Only like $55 for new shocks at the parts store. Much cheaper fix. Then just fab up something to either bolt or weld them to.

i paid 8$ each shock off ebay and had a set of brackets that worked so i didnt need to make any....i was under 20 bucks :biggrin: ......what did the bird say when it flew over my garage.......cheap cheap cheap! :uh:
