gonna put bags in my linc this weekend the only concern i have is the gas tank sits lower than my frame and im thinkin that if i lay it down its gonna drag the gas tank and the shits gonna hit the fan..should a go buy a skid plate like trucks have a bolt it over the tank and drag the mother fucker or just make it so it doesnt lay frame? just dont wanna blow myself to bits

my astro's tank sits on the ground when i drop it, i just don't drag it down the road, put in a fuel cell, but if you put it in the trunk don't forget that fire extinguisher!

A skid plate made out of 1/4"-steel should do the trick and definitely will not hurt. And it will definitely be loud enough to remind you to pick that ass up.

That tank isn't moving much further up. And I don't see him going with a fuel cell. In that case, since it IS the low-point, at least put a skid plate under it. A busted gas tank is a major bitch!!!

i put a fuel cell in my caddy. it seems to work fine. except make sure to run those vents out the trunk or its gonna smell bad..

what year linc do you have? my 79 continental gas tank hangs lower too but i never thought about it til now and im going to bag it soon. maybe its time for a fuel cell.
