Heres what happened and what is now going on with my car. This is my daily driver, a 91 probe. my mom has been driving the car for a couple of months now while she's here so i haven't driven it regularly during that time. It has bad oil leaks, but nothing severe, oil is always and still is in the car. Last night she goes to start the car, hears a big "pop" and smoke comes from under the hood and the car won't start. She gets the car towed home, and now this morning it starts. It starts like a normal car, has the usual half second rev up but then it dies imediately. It makes no funny noises either when it starts. Anybody have any ideas what the problem could be, bad fuel pump, bad spark plugs not keeping the car running, or maybe something blew not allowing for combustion to occur, or anything other ideas????? any help is appreciated. Also, if you have an idea what it could be, when you post, tell me what to do to check to make sure thats it.
