Ok I have air suspension in my blazer and never messed with hydros. I picked up this 2000 grand am coupe two weeks ago and it has hydros. Any way The fluid comes in through the top much like this

My problem is that the rod comes out of the perch that the spring sits on. So to get the wheel off I need to jack it up by the suspension so the rod doesn't pull out and the tire to be free. I do not think this is suppose to be like this. Any input would be great. Thanks guys. I will definately search around more as I have a lot to learn.

Sounds right. You could try welding a piece of pipe in the middle of the spring perch to help the cylinder fall back in place when you lower the car but not too much or it will bottom out.
