Ya can do some decent hopping with a torsion style front end, but it must be modified to fit the full stack coil to get any competition style performance... (either coil over or coil under with modification... but it can be done pretty easily... ;)

put a coilover setup on the front and do away with the torsion bars, not sure about nissans, but on my mazda, we took the torsion bars out, and cut the shock towers down to make room for the cylinder mount. it can hop around six inches or so, not much, but i didnt really intend on hopping when we put the setup in, and dont really hop it that much either. its got 4 turns of 1 ton coil in the coilover.
