Thats not fading.......you'r clearcoat has failed........only thing you can do is repaint.

ok, do you know how much it will be to repair that? maybe even the whole car?

It's hard to quote prices on the net, but your looking at around $1500
but it all depends on the shop........

as far as how much to repair........it depends.......even though it's just in certain areas that it's peeling, the rest could start to peel in the near future, so it's best to redue the whole thing.

if you call a shop tell them your clear is delaminating........and tell them you are just getting a price quote for the work...........they might think you know what you are talking about and not try to screw you...........

It looks like the clear is failing only on that pillar or certain panels . they can only redo where its failing for a lot cheaper

what i'm saying is if you call them and use the correct term for what is happening and not just say my clear is peeling off my car...........they will think you know something about the painting process





you would be surprised at how many people think bodyshops sand down the entire car and reshoot new paint............when all we do is scuff and shoot when the paint is in good condition.............



or all the people out there that doesn't understand how many times we have to tape up the windows and how many times we need to shoot primer and block on a show car and...........ok i'll stop myself here.........screw it i'll start a new thread about it :biggrin:
