Not sure on the 62 but on my 64 you need to take the nut off the top of the zerk of the ball joint, then take a grinder and grind the studs off........the new set will have studs/nuts.

well, if the SEARCH was working...

I gave a lot of details on that at one time.

I can't even copy and paste it.

I don't have a problem being a paying member. If every one paid $1.00 per year I'm sure it would be well worth it for everyone.

just a dollar. it would be worth more than that just to have no pop ups and everything work good.
im not complaining, i love the site, but it would be nice to have it at 100%. i wouldnt pay much. but with as many people there are on here, it wouldnt take much from each person.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm............. I had this post ready for you yesterdays, ODD, I, for some reason could not post it??? !!!

raise both tires car, a few inches

remove one tire, lower car to allow other tire to touch ground

with floor jack under arm at spring base.

jack arm up about 2-4 "

Loosen lower BJ nut

lower jack about 1/2" from aarm.

smack steering knuckle until stud pops loose.

raise jack, remove nut,

lift spindel and support,

large hammer slam down on BJ

clean and lube area, install BJ with a BJ press, (there are other ways)

put back together.

Then lube BJ

someone double check me.
