the only thing about daytons is the plating is a thousand times more reflective then chinas. but stainless steel spokes kills the look. Gold daytons are woth it. and dayton has a better standard off set but for 13x7 rev you cant beat a set of chinas.

I LOVE MY DAYTONS, BUT IT IS TRUE THAT DAYTON IS TOO PROUD OF THERE NAME. BEFORE I BOUGHT MY SET I CONTACTED DAYTON AND WAS TOLD I COULD BUY DIRECTLY FROM THEM WITH "FACTORY DIRECT PRICING" I WAS QUOTED $2,300 FOR A SET OF 14x7 100 SPOKES ALL CHROME. I BOUGHT THEM FROM DISCOUNT TIRE $1,760

EXPLAIN THAT!

The first wires I ever bought were daytons. I still have them but I have five sets of OG wires now too. I personally like the way og looks with 100 spokes and chrome rather than 88 and stainless.

yeah but you are fucked if you got a 93-96 big body and want to run extended skirts. Only Daytons will fit when it comes to reverse.

I put one of my OG wires up to one of my daytons. Both 100 spoke just so I could try to tell the difference. It looked like the OG spokes were slightly thinner :dunno: Also, I had a lot of leaky spoke issues with OG wires and one had a wobble brand new out the box, the tire shop slapped on a bunch of weights and could barely balance it.
I think there is a big difference in quality control at Dayton then at any other china wire maker.
