well, in the daily drivers i used to have- they would brake so often it pretty much changed itself ( a leak here, a leak there, a busted hose, a bad stroke seal).

in the weekend cruiser i have now- it barely gets any miles on it so prety much never.

There is really no high-heat shearing of the fluid, so in reality, there's really no need to ever change it.

My preventative maintenance includes...
Cylinder orings:
Change all cylinders orings once a year.
Dump orings:
Change all 8 dump orings once every 18 months
Accumulators:
Check/adjust pressure each season
Batteries:
Check fluid level every 6 months
Rotate every year

I tear apart pumps each winter, seeing I dont drive my car then anyways, so 1 time a year preventive maintanence, my regal got 2k miles on it this year, so :biggrin:
