what are some things that can be to a regular hydrualic setup to improve performance, im not talking about adding an Adex or somehting like that, im tlaking about the machining side of things, i have been told that ports can be made bigger and shit like that....the reason i am asking is cause i have access to a machine shop now, i am actually working there now, we have any fucking tool imaginable.....and my boss really knows his shit and is cool as fuck....hes been doing machine shop work for 40+ years....so some of you guys that know what your doing, give me some pointers on what i can do.....i mean can i buy a regular 1/2 inch port pump and turn it into a 1 inch port.....is it just a matter of machining the port till its an inch....or what....i know some of you guys know some tricks and shit like that...help me out...i also know some of you guys arent gonna expose "secrets" which is understandable but im trying to learn some shit too, and hell i may even hook some people up with some custom work for very very cheap if i can get some info.....

First things first. How many pumps are you going with? What kind of performance are you looking for? (hop, speed but not hopping, reliability) It would be kind of dumb to go with 1 inch ports if you are going to have 4 pumps in the car. Tell us about what you want and it will narrow down the responses. Plus if done right, any quality kit that you get will give you good performance if installed correctly.

Oh, and if you have a half inch block that was made to be half inch, you will not be able to make it 1 inch without making the walls for your fitting weak.

I would say if you just went with a couple of 1/2 inch pumps with some #9 gears from a reputable company, like Black Magic, with some good dumps and some good checks, you will be fine. You may be able to make some deeper deep cups for more coil. Look at my signature, with some good combos, you should be able to hold your own. The video is useing all 3/8 stuff on 6 batteries.

1 inch ports aint gonna do SQUAT. I got a 87 s10 blazer I just built with # 8 lines on a 9 pump head double pump with 2 banks of 5 batteries doing a easy 45 inch hop.
Big over sized shit dont do no differ for hydro. That shit only works for air bag dudes.

any thing over 1/2 is not gonna help by my opinion, because the pump head port is still only 3/8 no matter what, unless you have the tricks of millen them with out taking away pressure

but 1/2 ports 3/8 medium checks, t fittings so the fluids goes straight out and not straight thro the dumps, and #9 for 4 batts or less and 11 for 6 batteries and up in a bank.

use accurate solenoids, also
or accumaxs if you have too.
#6 hoses are fine on that also, with a 4.5 coil in front if you have a v8, and 3.5 in rears

and good luck homie
