I NEED HELP ON REPAINTING, FILLING IN, AND TIPS

yea ummmm im gunna fill in my bike by myself and yea im new so i dunno what the fuck to do i could post pictures if u wanted me to and umm yea i needa no how to fill it in what to use how to get the paint off and yea all of that please help me!!!

then i used some metal shears to cut out some sheet metal to fit and cover the tank. since i don't know how to weld or have access to a welder, i used jb weld to stick the sheet metal to the frame

it looks messy but you can sand the jb weld once it's dry

after the sheet metal was done, i used bondo to smooth it all out

then here are the steps i took for the paint

of course you need to do the primer first. after i did the primer i painted the whole frame a flat black because i wanted to do some patterns on it and needed the base colors to contrast to bring out the different colors. then i taped off some very simple patterns on the frame

after taping the patterns i painted the whole frame silver so it can bring out the metallic green that i was gonna paint it.

the second pic shows when i took the tape off. by having a bright silver and black base, the patterns will show better

then finally i used a dupli-color emerald green metallic with some dupli-color clear coat and here is the end result :biggrin:

thanks so much these pictures will help me alot and ummmm jb weld? is that like sum kinda...i ono what is that i could pick it up at a hard ware store right? just look for JB weld???
no problem, and yes, you can find jb weld at places like wal-mart, home depot, auto zone.
do u actually weld taht? or is it like aaaa.......wats that word...like a putty???

today i found sum auto body place that just gave me a shit load of sheet metal so taht was coo then i got sum jb weld and aircraft stripper sum sand papper and sum primer ummmm i think ima go do the aircraft stripper on the frame? and then primer er i ono sumone help me what should i do with all my supplys now....
2 hours later i gotta do sum stripper still goddamnit i dont have spray stuff its in a can.....so hard to not rub it cuz if u rub it it dunn wannna work lololol pleaseee gimmie sum ways to make it easier becuz its takeing forever!!!!!!!!

yea im still workin on it rite now im just getting off the paint and the chrome off the fenders so yea i need ideas still please shoot em at me wenever i have lots of sheet metal!!!
i think i finished my air craft stripper thing i think i got most of the paint off and primer too i guess lol well i will post up a pic in about 20 minutes after i let it sit and then rub it off with a towel =) soooo tomorrow i plan on just doing the tank if thats wat u call it and then probably take the chrome off the fenders plz gimmie more ideas becuz yea gimmie summ badd ass skirt ideas if tahts what u call it? lol thanks :biggrin:
Please dont do the frame like that. You need something different for a skirt. There are too many bikes with that kinda skirt on the back. I will post some different shit tomorrow for you.
