Of course it will come off if it hasn't set yet. You need to use something to hold it together until it drys/sets. Looks like noe_from_texas used tape, just look at the first pic on page 3. You should let it dry up for a full 24 hours before you do anything else to the tank just to be safe. Plus using one whole tube on one side is way too much.

good advice, do one side, clamp the sheet metal to the frame, leave it overnight, then do the other side. if you leave it on there without clamping it, it will move
