How do you know if your engine is flooded? When I turn the ignition I hear a pop and then the engine doesn't do anything, but the starter still turns...
I have a 96 olds achevia with a quad 4 by the way....

Does this sound familier to anyone?

Possible flooding or maybe timing is off can cause that.

yea, I'm thinking that it is probally the timing belt or maybe the starter because it kinda humms after the engine goes off...but the engine is turning...
It's wierd because I just installed an amplifier for the radio, took it for a spin, and a few hours later it wouldn't start....

u cant flood a fuel injection system unless you have a problem causeing no spark...crank sensor ect ect
you can if you keep trying to start the car and the engine dosen't turn over. The gas accumulates...
But yea, like you said....no spark....
