For ex.

I have a 2000-something lowrider collection bike and i had to put that down once at a show. Later this week im gonna try to find an old schwinn frame (if i can) and bondo it/paint it and switch it off w/my current year 2000-something frame. So if i go to a show next time do i say that it's a Schwinn since the frame i just put on is Schwinn? Or do i just say its a 19__ schwinn frame?

You would say the bike is a schwinn and if you research the serial # you can find out the year also. The frame always determines the make of the bike not the parts put on it. If I had a Chevy Silverado pickup with an escalade clip on it, it doesn't make it an escalade.
