i don't want to have super-fast or super-powerful bags, i just want to be able to raise/lower my ride (OK, relatively fast, not 2 minutes to raise or lower ;) )... i'd like to do most of the work myself, i don't have that much money... i figure the majority of the price would be in the actual bags, compressor, and tank, right? with the pipes, switches, wiring, etc. pretty cheap?

For just the basic setup, what am i looking at?

okay....what car are you putting it in?....tanks are cheap, line is cheap then fittings, switches are modertaly expensive (fittings addd up trust me) then bags, compressors and valves, go with manual valves if your on a budget with 1/4 line, I surely couldn't myself cuz it be like me being mario andretti and settling to drive a toyota echo, i'd say use solenoid valves, but valves are probably the biggets investment in an air ride system

make your valves and bags your first priority. then find a good tank and compressor. check ebay. hose and wire and pretty cheap, fittings are between 4.00 and 8.00.
