I got this wagon over a year ago from Mitch at M-E Customs in St. Joseph, MO. This is the picture he put on Layitlow & when I seen it I knew I had to get it! cuz my Dream car was a 59' drop, but the wagon seemed even nicer cuz I never saw one before.

Another classified shot. When I showed the pic to people, they couldn't see what I was so excited about! My uncle said "eww, gross!" & my friends didn't really seem to care either.

So I rounded up a truck & my uncles trailer & drove 5 hours to go get it.(With no License in a truck that had no insurance & an unregistered trailer)

People were giving me compliments the whole way back to Iowa every time we stopped.

The rear window mechanism was rusted shut preventing the window from moving & the gate from dropping so I had to access the mechanism from the inside panel & pull the window regulator out so I could open the gate.

Interior is pretty good with intact seats & couple door panels were decent, but I need to weld in new floor pans front & back.

After I stripped the whole passenger side I put it in primer just to tide it over until I do some sectioning of rust spots & replacing the drivers side quarter.

THe 1st of this year I moved to Colorado & the Parkwood came with me. I pushed it into my Lean-to, jacked it up onto some 4x4's & jackstands, & rolled the chassis out from underneath it. The chassis was too high so I had to remove the front wheels & drag it through the dirt & concrete on the drums BY MYSELF! Got it out though.

Thanks for ALL the replys! It means ALOT to me to see that people appreciate my work, especially from the vets who been puttin in work themselves.
Yeah, my original plan was to have the body Kandy Rootbeer Brown & the Roof and fins to be Gold Metalflake.
For stripping I used Aircraft remover to get most of the OG paint off, then a 3M Stripping wheel. It's black & sorta looks "sponge-like" but it's tough.
Now for the bad news:I can't post up more pics of the frame, cuz I haven't completed it yet. See I was doing all this work to it out in Colorado & plans changed so I moved back to Iowa.
I had to tack the body mounts back on & put EVERYTHING back together, UNFINISHED! I only got the bottom plated so far.
Right now it's sitting in storage out there until I go back out there in July 06' to pick it up. So, right now I'm doing the frame wrap on my Coupe D here in Iowa.

If anybody has comments or ideas for the 59', they're GREATLY appreciated!
I'm still flippin back & forth wether I'll do it Traditional/Cali-style or Old School Kustom/Lowrider.
