the actual remote line can "blow up" or GO OUT for no reason. It was prevelant on Sony decks a few years back, but just hook up str8 12V to the remote hookup and it will work.

If not there is a problem in your wiring.

Unhook the negative battery terminal before you install. Sparks are bad during installation

u dunt have to take a wire all tha way from ur battery to ur amp just take a wire and hook it up from tha big + wire tha tha remote and see if that works. and ur gonna have to pull that wire off when ur not using ur amp or when ur cars off so tha amps not always on or put a switch on it.

btw r u sure u checked all tha fuses.

try running the remote lead turn on to the wire for the power antenna. Does the amp turn on at all and go into protection or just not turn on at all.

You can run a straight wire from your fuse box to the remote turn on on the amp, and run your +12 volt to your batt, and then your ground to metal, this way when you turn off the car, the juice to the amp is cut off.
