Just how important is it to grease the threds (inside and out) for the knock ? also how important is it to grease the back side of the knock off where it is up against the rim? how offten should it be done and how offten do you need to re-tighten it? let me know homies!

You absolutely have to use anti-sieze, or at least some kind or grease, on the threads for the adapter or knockoff or both (they thread together, so you don't have to go too crazy), or else they will bind together. I make sure it's lubed every time I change wheels, which is once a season here in the northeast. Once the knock offs are on and tight, you shouldn't have to re-tighten, or remove and re-lube. Set it and forget it.
