i think it depends on how broad your horizon is on "the cheapest way" ..........lowering springs would probally the way you want, this way you still have the same ride, but lower. If you want to go real cheap you could heat up a few turns on the coils with a torch, but then you'll get a more bumpy ride..........lol........ it all depends on how cheap you want to spend, and how much safety and a good ride you want.

damn! you got a classic "68"? i would definitely save the loot and go loco wit da hydro! i am buying one soon for $2000 and it has a strong 472 running and it will be cut up something wicked!

i would cut them that is the honest to god cheapest way..but then again if you want quality go with lowering springs.....it will ride better than if you cut them....

yeah really if i were you id get a lowering coils to youll still need an alignment but its much better than the clamp idea i didnt even notice the car you were doin it to till i red it again but im not the only one that didnt notice right Joe5pt0. :thumbsup:

well ya especially when theyve been on there soo long that they rust n you end up havin to take em off with a tourch.

He probably cut his coils, ended up too low and bottomed out a bunch of times. Then he probably put in some new ''stock'' springs and it probably now sits high like a truck. :biggrin: :biggrin:
