Well, I'm pretty new to the model scene.......I used to build them years ago but just recently returned. So for project #1.....The 90'd coupe. After reading the post about stripping the car from BigPoppa.....my Lac is now stripped awaiting aircraft remover. Here's the thing.....I need some help from everyone. I will be using the car as a hopper but will also be keeping the interior. As far as suspension, what is better, T-slider setup or the U-bar setup? I will get pics up soon to keep everyone updated.

Well....I decided on a paint color....

The wheels are now black......when it's time for the body it will be a dark grey body, black euro mouldings, and a black vinyl top. I should have pics up later tonight of the chassis.

Well....sorry for the bad pic I will get a better one tomorrow. Today I stripped the body, primed, then painted the base color...keep in mind that I still need to paint the roof, side mouldings, and then clear the entire car......like I said, the pic isn't that great but it will give you the idea so far...

i tried enamel pant white over the pink and no matter how much i cleaned then they kept getting fish eyes ...finially i used paint thinner to rub off the pink paint ...

the candy red was so nice i couldnt repaint it ...

The Candy red is a nice color but I just wanted a little something different. As far as the mouldings all I did for prep is scuff the paint with a 3M Green scuff pad, no problems with paint.

Some Walmarts have them, if you have a Hobby Lobby they have them. If you can't find one let me know I can get you one local.

well i dont think there's a hobby lobby over here in ca  :( but what all comes with the car? i really wanna get me one i love caddy's my dad had a old lowrider caddy back in the days and now i got me one so i have a love for caddy's
Well, the model has a diecast body that is allready painted red, with pink euro mouldings, and a white top. As you can see the Caddy is a coupe with the 90's update. However, the only thing body wise that is not quite accurate would be that it still has the solid red taillight lenses, and it doesn't have the Fleetwood mouldings that run down the side and on to the hood. The interior is non-fleetwood interior as is the dash.....they are just standard Cadillac Coupe Deville interior. The interior is molded in solid white, while the chassis is molded in black. For the trunk you get a panel that is the width of the trunk that houses 3 subs, and you also get 2 rows of 3 batteries and a 2 pump setup joined whammy tank style. You also get wheels that are chrome dish with gold centers and whitewall tires, however I personally recommend that you buy a new set of wheels. For mounting the wheels you have 2 options for height that the axles can be mounted at. Hopefully you get the picture of what is included with the kit. If you would like I can purchase one from my Hobby Lobby I believe they are close to $20.00....maybe a little less and have it shipped to you. Let me know.

UPDATE.....finally painted the roof, used a semi gloss black because gloss has too much shine for this. I'm also currently working on the continental kit. I propped the kit up by the car so you can get a idea of its size.

Once I fit the kit around the bumper it will pull it much closer to the car. The kit itself will have a chrome base, shell will match the car, and wheel will be black......hoping to get alot done this weekend....
