I was just doing some calculations based on (4) conti 2600's, with 12 gallons of air at 200 psi.
First lift of all 4 wheel will drop 200 psi to 159
second lift will drop to 126
third lift down to 100 psi
fourth lift down to 80 psi.
At that point depending on the weight of the car or truck it wont lift as high and speed will start to slow down considerably. I remember testing these pressures on the last 64 impala I did with 2600 stones all around and the #'s worked out the same. If anyone has a car with similar volumes compare them and see.
2500's wont take as much air to fill up, but take more pressur to lift as high as a 2600. As the pressure drops off it loses lift faster.
With 12 gall, and (4) 2500's at 200 psi it goes
200 to 173 on 1st lift
173 to 150 2nd lift
150 to 130 3rd lift
130 to 112 4th lift.
weight of the car will determine how much 112 psi with a 2500 will lift. In my experience the lift will be cut down dramatically.
