i have some fiberglass inside my ride (Sub box) with a little MDF showing..

how can i paint this stuff to a high gloss finish..

in the past primer works well on front of MDF, but soaks right into the edges.

any ideas anyone??

Paint seems to soak into the ends and edges of most wood grains. At work it's just a matter of going over it a few times, letting it dry inbetween coats.

perhaps some of that putty they use for filling in holes in wood....put it all along the edge and sand it down shaping it as you want in the process??

yeah,,u have to use a good wood primer,,,,,i use to paint cabinets,,,and they were all made from MDF,,thre is a primer we used,,,it would soak it up at first,,,but then,,eventually cover the brown of the wood,,,sand, prime again,,sand,,prime again....and tehn u should be able to paint it to a nice finish color
