has any 1 got a frame media blasted if so is it worth the $ cuz its expensive but they told me at the shop that it is better than sand blasting because it dosent pitt the frame and the paint quality comes out way better is this true?

The last part is bull shit. It doesnt matter any rust that you get on the frame is surface rust and you can just sand off. How much do they want to charge you?

theres this one powder coating shop that said they will sand blast it 4 free

Why are we still having this conversation? It doesnt matter if you do media or sand blasting. Your just trying to take off all the rust and paint that are on the frame, giving the welder and painter a better surface to work with.

^^^^ True dat. If its just a bike frame get it done for free. Now if you're talking a car I'd get that media blasted instead. I've heard its safe if you leave the chrome parts on there (but I'd probably still remove them) but for a car I'd get media blasted , bike frame sand blasted.
