I have a 84 Olds Delta 88 and trying to do some mid's and high's and wanted to know a setup that I can use and what kind of speaker to get good loud sound. And how should I place them. And how much power I need to run them? Alot of people that I have heard in my area have alot of bass and no sound because the bass over-powers their sound. I want my music to be heard as well. Help please!!!!!!!!!!!! Budget 400 but can sacrifise a little more if necessary.

Everyone would have their own opinion on what's best. What sounds good to me, might not sound good to you. Your best bet would be to pop in and out of stereo shops and listen to the actual components. From there you will get a better idea of what you like from making comparisons. Some brands of components are Diamond Audio, Boston Acoustics, Focal, Kicker, Polk Audio, DLS, MB Quarts, Rainbow, and Alpine.
