finished the 454 swap in my cutlass and having a problem now. the car idles pretty good but when giving gas it pops from the carb and dies. motor has new plugs and wires. now it has a little 600 cfm carb that was just put on there to start it. getting a 750 cfm soon (tomorrow hopefully) now where would i look to solve this problem. i tried moving the distributor both ways and its not solving the problem.

Possibly could be i have a 650 on my sbc 350 and that should be ideal for my motor so your 454 should run nothing smaller than a edelbrock 750

oh yea! 750 for 383s and up is good. If your distributor is off only one cog it just wont run right
