thanx.... thiz iz a pic of a infiniti Q-45 i built alongggggg time ago but i found it the other day all apart this iz all i got left of it...lol the interior is oldskool and if u look how i raised the ass on it u can tell i didnt noe anything about hydro's back then... i built it like 4 years ago... ima rebuild it after im done with all these new cars i gotta build...

Looks great! What did you use for the patterns? I see a silverbase...but the patterns almost look silver but isn't...

its like a mettalic gray... well... some peoiple would say charcoal.. lol basicly its a darker silver...and it wasnt eazy doing the fade job with cans... cuz the cans spray so wide... u cant really notice much but the sides iz the darker color on bottom fading up to the silver on top... ill post pics of the car done on the 14th for the contest... ima finish building it later on... i gotta go do some patterns on a caddy at some body shop like at noon... hopefully i wake up...lol its 6:05 AM... oh well ima go to sleep now...lol i stayed up all night finishing the 62 i just gotta glue the hood on n its done

Not to be the wisenose, but if you wan't easy fading with cans take a piece of paper and hold it above the (patterns) surface....more space between surface and paper means larger fade and ofcourse less space means smaller fade...works like a charm...you can even make a placeholder for the paper using some welding wire to make a frame. In that way you only have to concentrate on the angle to spray.

nah man... strickly freehand for me... except the the pattern tape but the rest is free hand... the fade job on the side of the car came out perfectttt but the fade job on the patterns came out pretty good too but not az perfect... when i get my airbrush i'll do alot better i didnt uze my big air gun cuz itz too big for lil patterns on a model...

Okay so you do it the hard and risky way....every airbrushbook covers the use of papersheets to do fadejobs tho..

yea... my desk is too crowded with cd's spray cans and a radiosack bag with a bunch of motors and stuff to do model car hydro's... and when i build i build big... so i take up the whole table with all my model car boxes cuz i alwayz like put parts in diff boxes so i gotta open em all to see wut parts are where...lol

lol, i literally gotta climb over model shit to get to my computer and even then i dont even have elbow room here. lol
so i moved out to the livingroom latelast week and i finially cleared a walkway out there a little bit ago so i can at least watch tv while i eat now. lol

i can picture your house just filled with boxes of models everywhere, youve got a pathway cleared inside your whole house from bathroom, to livingroom, to bedroom, to kitchen, to outside LOL.

omg u noe wut sux!!!... the city inspectors came by the neighborhood and went in evryones yards... and they said we gotta clean them all up... so we forced to get rid of our boat... and forced to junk my bonneville.. well i could either sell it... junk it... or fix it up... cuz it loox like shit watch ima post a pic of it...lol i uze it az a table top to paint my model cars on... and i learned how to paint painting the front left fender and hood on it... but i think ima buy a can of paint remover and stripping the paint... and then primering it.. and i gotta fix some rust it has on the roof....oh yea back to the point i was going for.. wel tomaro is the big garbage pick up thing for all the people that the inspectors made throw evrything out... and as i pull into my driveway i notice my dad throw away one of my crates full of model cars!!!! and its empty!!! some one took the model cars!!!!
