the car was a farmers yard ornament (lol)
i was driving out on the backroads and out of the corner of my eye i saw a impala
sitting next to a big red barn and i stopped my car and from the road i could see a bright green sign in the window '''
there was a gate at the end of the driveway blocking people from driving down the driveway so i said what the hell and i jumped the gate and went running across the field
through the weeds and all
and to my suprise it was this 64 impala
it had a faded out for sale sign in the window so i called the number and they was asking 2500.00 for it or best offer so i had them meet me at that location so i could hear it run ''
they showed up like 10 minutes later
and i took them through the whole what would you take for it deal
and i ended up giving them 1500.00 for it cash

i went a got the cash and got dropped off where the car was and i drove it home from there'''

sorry it took me so long to reply ''''
i havnt had any time to check my listing''

here are some recent pics of the impala

there is rust on the car
it needs all the basic work
like floor pans and stress points in the rear quarters next to the side windows
and trunk pan
and so on
i did pull the roof drip rail off above the drivers and passenger window
(the alluminum piece that covers the drip rail)
and that was all rotted out '''so i am putting a whole new rust free roof on it
here is a couple more pics
one pic is of the rust from the drip rail

this is going to be a frame off full restoration
i am taking the frame to get it acid dipped and then rinsed
and then it will be treated with self etching primer
and then the full frame wrap and then the frame is going to be powder coated

within the next few weeks it is going to the shop to have new quarters put on
and floor pans and the roof will be cut off and another one will be welded in place

i am driving to geneva indiana to harmons chevy and picking up the quarters
and floor pans and fenders and doors

first will be the bodywork though !!!!!!

and then will be the frame wrap
so anyone with instructions on how to wrap a impala frame it would be greatly
appreciated!!!!!
