I've been watching too much American Chopper.

This thing started out as my room mate's old Schwinn. It turned out pretty good for a first time, low budget bike build. There are a couple little design shortcommings but all in all it's a fun bike.

I haven't gotten pics up yet with the chain on it. The suicide shifter actuates the front deraileur to give the bike 3 speeds. The rear deraileur is just for keeping tension in the chain.

I wanted bigger wheels on it. It was basically my room mate's brainchild. I just did the welding and advised on the technical aspects. The next one will be much cooler!

He rides the bike to work sometimes. All the old people here go crazy over it. Just like most things custom they can't seem to wrap their minds around it. It's funny.
