Wired61 talked me into making a build up here  this will be a slow build due to me always working/weather/expecially money....i made a trade with stlpinkcutty for the nice regal i had, he brought it up April 17th 2008.
I always wanted a 64 and tryed trading my regal and had alot of offers but most the 64's were too far so i got what i could, sacrificed a nice regal, with wheels, paint, and hydros.. :( oh well

My 64 Impala SS is a true SS...i checked all the tag codes the day i got it, was built in St.Louis Missouri that would be the reason for the rotted out floor pan i got work cut out for me...it came with a 327 V8 & 4 speed saginaw with hurst shifter that they cut out the floor pan for...car was original 3 speed on column ,console is alot different than any i have seen it has no spot for shifter...the engine is not original either the motor & heads i also ran codes off of is from 1968 maybe a 68 camaro...day i got it i started taking some shit outi got all the SS trim with it

here are pics before i owned it...

the headliner was all hanging down and most stitches seperated from age,i thought i would try and sew back together the original

here it is all broken down (unstitched)

all sewn together

didn't work out right so i sewed together a new one

it was pain working out the wrinkles,i actually pulled the headliner out cause the sides where you staple the headliner were falling apart so i have to fix that before i put headliner in

the 64 right now basically the whole front end is off,i cut out the rusted out spot on passenger side and welded in new...

i used my plasma cutter to cut it out and the new piece was really bad idea cause the metal really didn't meet up well next time i will use a grinder with cut off wheel, tacking looks pretty bad but it cleans up well after grinding

welded in and some grinded i need to finish grinding it down

alright i started all over with a better project that will be driveable soon saving parts from other

i picked this 64 up March 19th 2009 been to busy working to post pics

i found the 64 on craigslist and contacted the guy same day he posted it and told him i was serious about getting it,payed him in advance to hold onto it till i found a way to have it hauled

from seller i was told it was restored before, and built as a amateur drag car motor was revved high in park and wouldn't move...he said heads were also cracked..and was thought to have a 350 motor but my cousin and Shortdog62 ran the numbers and found it was a 1974 400 motor & has a th350 transmission
i purchased it with corvette rallye wheels
it also had new shocks, brakes, wiring harness running to back, radiator, door sill plates, hood hinges, gas tank so far that i have found also has full length header, and flowmaster exhaust
here are pics i got from seller

ok i have been bullshitting on pics, but so far i swapped out the whole inside dash harness cause it was hacked, changed out steering column and steering wheel with original 64 steering wheel and painted to match/then pulled unused clutch pedal and put it power brake/put all the trim on trunk lid/and trim on dash with pioneer double face radio was already cut so said hell with it/also some 6x9's in rear deck....little other shit here and there sunday Chuck (Shortdog62) is coming out to help put the 327 from my other 64 in this 64

excuse the mess in these pics been working on the ride every little chance i can get and no time to clean up

more pics later
