i have a total of 6 batteries...3 on each bay..i just realized just now that while i was chargin my batteries at 36 volts for the past 5 hrs, that my disconnect was connected..am i safe?..my charger is a 36 volt charger..

the voltage of the batteries only increase over each one..so if u put the charger at 36v and u put the cables on the 1st negative and ur 3rd positive then thats 36v...

i was told to always unplug my disconnect when charging batteries so that my 36 volt charger wouldnt charge my 72 volt system...(i charged negative 1st battery and positive on the 3rd battery at 36v, but with the disconnect plugged in, i wasnt sure if that would affect anything)..
