So I'm looking to speed up my system a bit. Here's what I have so far. eight valve, ten switch, 3/8 lines and valves. Valves all mounted at the tank. I just added two more five gallon tanks to make a total of fifteen gallons of air capacity. I use a York 209 for my comp. Here's my plan, let me know if I'm on the right track. I want to up my comp. to tank line to 1/2" and I thought I would move my front valves to my front inner fender to get the valves closer to the bags. I'm also thinking about buying some Slam Spec bags for the front since I am having some balooning issues, which ones would suit me best for a '63 full sized Chevy? I also have a 160psi (I think) PS, are these generally adjustable or should I just buy a 200psi PS and call it done?

get a 200psi ps, move your valves as close to the bags as poss, and if you really wanna speed it up change the size of ur valves to 1/2 w all 1/2 line through out.
Yah, I will definitely go with 1/2" valves for my next build. What about just upgrading my front fill valves to 1/2"?

get an adjustble pressure switch and run it at 250psi and put in 1/2"lines
Really, 1/2" lines with 3/8" valves? That doesn't seem like it would help much when the ends of every line are restricted by the smaller valves. As far 250psi goes...I'll work up to that one.

the deal is that 1/2" line has a 3/8" opening...

whereas you are losing speed with 3/8" line cause iots like 1/4" opening

1/2" line on 3/8" valves with 200-250psi is pretty FUCKIN fast imho

this is why a lotta guys (like myself) run 3/8" valves with 1/2" line.. its quick, but not as rediculous as 1/2" valves can be sometimes.. and if you want rediculous, 1/2" valves with 5/8" line, dont run 1/2" line and hold yourself back again!

get it?

Thanks man, that's what I'm talking about!!! I will upgrade my front lines and probably my fill line from my York to 1/2". My rear speed is pretty quick. hey, do you know the PS with the built in relay, it's grey and kinda rectangular. Can you adjust the screw inside to get higher pressure?

Thanks

yur talking about a Square D adjustable pressure switch and yes, you turn the screw on the inside to adjust pressure up and down

Mine actually isn't a square D but looks really similar and probably has the same adjustment. I guess I can just run the car with the cover off and spin the screw while watching the guage.

you mean 3/8 id line correct?

but the valves alone would speed it up a bit. mainly looking for a quicker drop.
go with 1/2" valves up front w/an increased psi above 200 or so. The weight alone up there with the big port size and pressure is enough to send it smacking down to the ground. On my old dak I 1/2" valves all around w/ 3/4" air line and running a pressure of about 250/275 and it came down QUICK! I put in some 1/2" plugs w/drilled in 1/4" holes to help slow it down.
