I have a single pump 8 batt's 1/2 inch pressure fittings and an
#7 pump head, my question is. When I tap my switch it sounds ok, but when I hit the switch it sounds like it grinds inside the pump, nothing is loose in there, can enybody please help.

Make sure everything's tight, check your batt connections are they tight?

But it does sounds like it needs oil, but it has oil to the top...

if it is not your pump head it is the brushes/armuture in the motor.
