Need some help switched differential from my impala 61 stock to a Toyota differential not lining up straight slip
yoke hitting against center of the frame bad and cannot even drive it because hitting thought of cutting the part out but
its a whole lot and space from tire to the skirt on driver side about 2inch and passenger side about 3 1/2 inches any help thanks.

I’m not super familiar with impalas or Toyotas but I have done a ton of axle swaps in 4x4s. I would think you would want to start by measuring your axle housing from the center to the wheel mounting surface. Maybe you can center the axle by moving the mounts on the axle? As long as the shafts are the same length? Get some good measurements off the old axle and compare them see if it’s even a possibility to make it work. I would think that swapping in a GM axle would be a lot easier and way less of a head ache.
