You do not have to take the dash out, but it makes it easier. You could make a cover and upholster it and place it over the original dash. The spray can adhesive will work, but try and get the type that is heat resistant. 3M make some really good adhesive.

I used 3m super 77 and it worked well I dont know if its heat resistant because on my door panels it seperated from the padding i PUT UNDERNEATH the tweed material. does anyone know anohter awnser to this.

3M 90 used to be the really good stuff. Not sure if they still make it. Landau top cement works well too.
