Just got this yesterday for $45. Started sanding it down a little also.

actually its a custom made spring with reallyy small turns in it so it lets the trike sit as low as possible w/o scraping. My dad designed it for me

I heard that aslong as you dont put too much weight on the front of it you'll be fine. Plus the seatpost gives it some stability so i didnt cut it off. if you cut it off you wont be able to ride it will just break and you'll land on your ass.

Got some tacking done today still have a lot of shit to finish till im finished with it. Also DO NOT use 20 somethin gauge sheet metal. You'll get some swiss cheese ass frame and have to patch it up. :angry:

Eventually, i had to quit today to say goodbye to my aunt and uncle before they go back east. I should be working on the rest of the frame this whole week with some help from my pops.
