if you spot it at the store, go for it. I wouldn't go hunting all over town for it though.Originally posted by dig_derange@Dec 18 2003, 07:04 AM
Well shit y'all, should I even buy the damn thing, it's gonna be a hard find over here too, so I don't know if it's worth the search - maybe just to help support the scene a little huh?
What's up homie. I work in a publications office for a private university so I know how hard it is to put together a magazine with a small budget. There are a couple of magazines that deal with model cars out there; Scale Auto and Model Car Mag for example but they also receive a lot of criticism from their readers. As for lowrider bikes, I have not seen another publication dedicated to bringing this part of lowriding scene. I would like to see LRB on the shelf more than twice a year, but I understand what goes into the production of printed material...Originally posted by fresnosuenos@Dec 19 2003, 01:38 PM
Nathan Trujillo works very hard all year round trying to get this magazine out for you guys. He is stuck with a small budget and not much time to get it together. How many other Lowrider Bike Mag's are there? What other mag's feature model cars at all? The fact is this mag could have fallen off and died but Nathan keeps putting it out for the readers. There is not even 1/25 of the readers for LRB that LRM has just look at the cars shows you got 500 cars at a show and what maybe 50 bikes if that many? How are you gonna make a 200 page magazine every month with that kind of coverage and reader numbers. Not trying to hate on you guys I know how you must feel but str8 up magazines are a business and in business you have to play by the #'s. Its not nathan keeping this magazine down to what it is, be lucky he is doing it because without him there would be no magazine for lowrider bikes at all.
