7,2 V should be more than efficient to get this baby hit backbumper. Get fast high torque motor (mabuchi 280 or somthing similar).

Ofcourse it's the weight issue..but I sense this truck needs some reinforcement on rear hydro's....

1- reinforce the "hydro's" in the rear.
2- put some fishing weights in there.
3- Perhaps use a stronger motor with 7,2V.

Good point! It's true that mounted rims give you a porer hop.

Make the rims move it will enhance the hop.
